An 880m² fit-out of a Level 5 shell space for the University of Auckland’s Connect digital services team. The high-spec workspace included open-plan offices, meeting pods and smart meeting rooms, collaboration spaces, kitchen and dining facilities, an 8-tonne mezzanine, raised timber floor and specialist acoustic ceiling.
Delivered in a live environment with around 40 subcontractors on site daily, the project required careful coordination of complex services, stringent permit requirements and challenging material access. Despite a mid-project COVID lockdown, supply delays and labour shortages, meticulous planning and coordination kept the project on programme.
The project was completed on time with only minor defects, delivering a modern, highly functional and acoustically considered workplace designed to support productivity and collaboration for the Connect team.
